Hello Everyone! Can you believe it is mid April already? Time is sure flying as we get ready behind the scenes for Summer 2016!
Enrollments are Flying In! If you haven’t enrolled already for this summer, please do so quickly as we are filling up fast. We try our best to update the Session Availability chart as much as we can, so check that out first to make sure the week you are looking to send your child(ren) still has openings. If you have already enrolled, confirmation letters and form packets are on their way! When you receive yours, please read through it all carefully. Double check dates and Activity sign ups (if applicable) are all correct. Also that all deposits received by us have been documented with the correct amount due at time of arrival. If you see an error, please notify Elsie as soon as you can so we can fix any problems that may exist at (860) 289-4177. All forms must be filled out completely and brought to check in at time of arrival. If you need an extra copy, all forms are located right here on our website for download. Attention Camp Counselors: You should have your applications done and ready to send in along with your payment to make the May 2nd deadline! If you are a first time counselor, make sure you have included your reference letter too! Mike and I will be reviewing and selecting our 2016 Counselor team as soon after that date as we can. Acceptance letters will go out towards the end of May so everyone can have as much time as possible to plan the rest of their summer. If you have questions, please contact Mike or myself using the contact information found at the bottom of your counselor invitation. We will be starting up a Counselor Only facebook page too! That way we can communicate with everyone in regards to important dates, weekly dress up themes, or last minute changes. It is the easiest way we have found to keep in touch with all 200+ counselors at the same time. Please make sure you have a facebook account set up as soon as you can! Thanks.
Please check out our upcoming events!! We have some important dates coming up for getting camp ready for summer! On Saturday, April 30th and Sunday, May 1st we have the first Clean up weekend. This is a two day event – (sorry no sleep overs so you will need transport for both days) so plan on coming out on one or both days – we will be raking, sweeping, washing, scrubbing all areas of camp. BYO Rake, work gloves and lots of elbow grease! Time is from 9AM to 4PM daily – lunch and snacks will be provided.
If you are busy for that weekend, then come on out for Clean up Weekend Too! Saturday, May 14th and Sunday, May 15th are two more days we will spend getting the cabins ready, shower houses scrubbed and any last minute special projects done! Again, this is a two day event, (sorry no sleep overs again). We will be going all day on Saturday from 9AM to 4PM and Sunday 9 AM to 2pm. Hope to see you there!
OPEN HOUSE! Come join us for our Open House on Sunday, May 15th from 2pm to 5pm. Come have a camp tour and see why HC4H has been making the Best, Better for over 85 years! The Camp Director and some of our 2016 Camp Staff will be there to say hello and answer questions on our program and activities.
